Our guest speaker will be Sister Safia, a well known speaker, who had also visited us a few months ago.
The topic of her speech will be, "Reaching for the Stars: Raising Daughters to Shine like the Ahul-Bayt".

Fund Raising Picnic on Saturday May 9, 2009 at 5:00 PM (RSVP by FRI May 8, 2009)
IABAT is arranging a fund raising Picnic on Saturday May 9th at 5:00 PM at IABAT center.
We plan to have some kids activites and the socializing time for the company of each other before the dinner is served.
We are requesting for the minimum recommended donation as below:--

The Program for Our Guest Scholar-SYED NAQVI
It is an honor to announce that we will have Hujjat-ul-Islam Moulana Syed Rafiq Naqvi visit us the weekend of February 20-22.
Syed Naqvi will visit us to commermorate the death of our beloved Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). He speaks Farsi, Urdu, English and Arabic.
Below is a brief statement about our distinguish guest.
Maulana Syed Rafiq Naqvi
An accomplished and well known scholar, originally from Lucknow, India, where he pursued his Masters degree in Psychology, Philosophy and Economics. He also did a comparative study on different religions and then obtained a Masters in Islamic Theology and Islamic Jurisprudence, and is a graduate of the Qum Seminaries.
He has worked on many humanitarian projects throughout the world. He also is very active in motivating young Muslims. He created the Jaferia Youth group
which has become one of the most active youth groups in the nation. Currently, he serves as the resident scholar of The Jaferia Islamic Center, Spokesperson of The Council of Shi'a Muslim Scholars of North America, and Chairman of the Islamic Information Center.
Maulana has the permission to represent our respected Maraja and can help anyone who requires assistance in this regard.
Maulana Naqvi speaks English, Arabic, Farsi, and Urdu fluently.

IABAT needs your URGENT HELP !
On behalf of Board of Trustees of IABAT, we are requesting for your support, not only spritually and morally, we need your support financially.
IABAT's Objective: To arrange to provide Programs to the followers of Ahle-Bayt Masomeens (AS) to enable them to educate and practice the religion of Shia Ithn-e-Athari (12 Imams) faith for themselves, their families and children.
We will Inshallah be having regular programs related to our 14 Masomeens, in addition to Muharram, Ramadan and other pertinent Islamic events. These will be in addition to our weekly Sunday School for our kids and Dua-e-Kumail on Thursdays. Many additional programs will also be added to the list.
You are aware that by the Grace of Allah (SWT), we were able to find a place well suited for our needs and have signed the lease for a period of 12 months. The monthly expense including the Rent and Utilities will be $3000 per month. ($36,000 for 12 months) We have suggested a minimum contribution of $50 per month for 12 months from each family. Alhamdulillah we have sufficient families in our IABAT community, if committed, the target can easily be met without any difficulty.
The following are possible options for donations:--
1) Sign-up for Auto Draft to allow IABAT to debit a apecified amount from your checking/savings bank account each month.
2) Write one check for the contribution for 12 months
or write 4 checks to be cashed quarterly
or write 12 checks to be cashed each month.
We are confident that by the Grace and Blessings of Allah (SWT), Alhamdulillah all of our blessed families at IABAT can easily donate the above suggested monthly donation. If any family will be facing hardship in making the requested donation, pease contact us and we will be glad to work out a support plan, within our resources.
Once again please remind you that our Imam Hujjat Sahibuzzaman (ATF) is our witness. If due to some reason we are unable to make the above plan workable, (breaking the lease) and resulted in closing the doors of IABAT center, we ALL will be answerable to our Imam Mehdi (ATF) and also to our Lord on the judgement day.

The minimum amount of Zakat-ul-Fitr for this year is $8.00 per pserson,
payable after the sighting of moon and recommended to be paid before the
Salat-e-Eid.
IABAT will be collecting Zakat-ul-Fitr on behalf of momineens and will
be arranging to distribute per the Islamic Sharia.
Please bring your Zakat-ul-Fitr in an envelope clearly marked, "SYED" or
"NON-SYED" as appropriate for collection.
We would like to remind you that the Salat-e-Eid will Inshallah start at
8:00 AM.

Inshallah the Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday Oct 1, 2008 after completion of 30 days of fasting, as the Shawwal crescent was not sighted anywhere in North America.
